A KIND DEED

From: Emma, Pri 5, Methodist Girls’

After my tuition, I went to the bus stop to take the bus home. After a while, a man holding a cane while slowly shuffling forward approached the bus stop too. I realised that he was visually impaired. As he sat beside me, I wondered how he would be able know what number each bus was. So I offered to tell him when the bus he intended to take had arrived, and he accepted it gratefully. His bus took longer to arrive than expected. I even had to miss the bus that took me home and take another one that came later to ensure he boarded safely. That man was very appreciative of my help, and I felt happy that I was able to help him. That day, I learnt that even a small act of kindness can positively impact someone’s day.
