Upon reaching the palace, Mei and Yun tried to persuade the emperor’s son that Grandpa was innocent. The emperor’s son told them that to clear Grandpa’s name, they would have to make the finest mooncake ever.
“But be warned, if the mooncake does not satisfy me, I will never let you see your grandpa again!” he thundered.
Mei and Yun asked the Jade Rabbit, “Where can we find the finest mooncake?”
The Jade Rabbit answered vaguely, “In the Land Of Mooncakes.”
Mei and Yun were confused. “Land Of Mooncakes?”
The Jade Rabbit nodded. “But to get the mooncakes, you two must pass a test that is almost impossible, many have tried but all failed. All, except for one, and that is your grandpa.”
The trio decided to go to the Land Of Mooncakes to get the finest mooncake. When they reached their destination, a voice greeted them, “Welcome, what do you seek?”.
Mei replied, “The finest mooncakes.”
Suddenly, a storm came, water rose, and the Jade Rabbit was washed away. When Mei and Yun realised this, they immediately jumped into the water to save the Jade Rabbit.
“Congrats, you have passed the test. Here are the mooncakes. But be careful, if you need it badly, it will help you, however if you have no need of it, terrible luck will befall you,” the voice said.
Mei, Yun, and the Jade Rabbit arrived at the palace. The emperor’s son nibbled on the mooncakes. “Amazing!”
Mei and Yun were reunited with Grandpa.
