Dear Jillian,
I am one of your fellow contestants practising for the Mind Blender Quiz. I sit close to you during practise sessions. You may not know who I am, but I would consider myself to be your greatest fan. I know. This is awkward. But, I cannot help but realise that you are probably the smartest one among us and it would be wrong of me to not say…
Yes. I have heard every answer that you had muttered under your breath. And they are all correct! Well, mostly. Yet, you have been allowing your fears to muffle your voice and vaporise your precious answers.
Yes. Fear. And that is your Achilles’ heel. Should you see a doctor? Or should you boldly face the dangers of failing? But, really… what is the worst that could happen if you failed?
Yes. Failure makes you realise that you are not perfect. But, you already know that, don’t you? Not to worry, we know it too!
Yes. Imperfection will not stop your parents from believing in you and loving you. We heard in school about your grandma’s demise. Her love will still be your shield and your comfort even if you have failed.
Yes. You could actually stand on her love and find the strength to win the Quiz. Think of the glory and imagine the joyful pride when you lift up the prize. Just remember to thank me when all is said and done.
Your secret admirer,
Karmiel
