White Beak could have been hunted by fishermen for its meat, oil, and other products. Commercial whaling has been banned since 1986. However, some countries still hunt whales for scientific purposes.
Due to climate change, White Beak may have found it difficult to find enough food. The change in ocean temperature may have caused the amount of krill to be reduced. White Beak may have gone somewhere else to look for food. Rio and Marina may find White Beak at places where there are lots of krill.
Whales are exposed to many types of pollution in the sea. Oil and plastic waste produced by humans often end up in the ocean. White Beak may have gone to look for cleaner oceans to live in. I will suggest to Rio and Marina to look for White Beak in warmer and cleaner water with an abundance of krill. They can start to look for it by travelling up to Alaska and down the length of the Pacific coast, and to the lagoons in Mexico where whales breed.
White Beak may have been entangled in a large fishing net which could have caused injury, drowning or even death. Rio and Marina should travel to places where they are a lot of fishing activities. White Beak could also have eaten plastics instead of krill which would make it sick.
White Beak may have gone to places where there are new species of fish and less competition for food with other whales. Rio and Marina should also look for White Beak near the surface of the sea.
