If I were Ginny, I would feel upset when Dad leaves for months. Moving to a new neighbourhood would make me nervous because everything would feel strange and unfamiliar. I would feel like a fish out of water. I would probably stay in my room at first, “crying”.
But slowly, I would realise that no one can discover or learn new things by hiding. I would take small walks around the neighbourhood, looking at small but interesting things like birds chirping, children laughing, and small shops around me. Whenever I would miss Dad, I would remember his funny pep talks. He told me to always find courage even when life changes direction.
In the end, I would feel that the compass I got from Dad didn’t only give me directions but also helped me find myself.
