If I were Jake, I would find a friend I can trust completely who understands and speaks Spanish as well as English to translate the old pirate’s riddle. Since Jake is now the smartest kid in the universe, he will have no difficulty solving the riddle. However, on a note of caution, if Jake is able to find that person, he should be very wary and guarded because not everyone can be trusted! He could end up seeking help from someone related to the old pirate, unknown to him!
If Jake and his friends eventually succeed in saving the school, half the credit should go to that friend who translated the riddle for them. Nevertheless, if they are unable to find a person who understands and speaks Spanish, they could use Google Translate, that’s if Google exists in Jake’s world, and work together to solve the riddle.
