The sky burned crimson as the Dragon Queen descended upon Jung. Her enormous wings blocked out the sun as flames erupted from her jaws. Terrified, villagers fled as she vowed to reduce their island home to ashes.

Amidst the chaos, Jung noticed a small dragon struggling near a collapsing bridge. It was the Queen’s child. Without hesitation, Jung rushed forward and pulled the hatchling to safety just before the bridge crumbled.

“You saved my daughter,” the Dragon Queen said in a slightly quivering voice, gazing in shock at Jung.

“I couldn’t let her die,” Jung replied.

The Queen lowered her head. “You showed kindness when you had every reason to fear me. I shall repay you.”

She spread her wings and soared into the sky. With a mighty roar, she summoned gentle rain over Jung’s island, filling its dried rivers and restoring its barren fields. She then used her magic to make the soil fertile, ensuring that the villagers would never go hungry again.

From that day onwards, Jung started believing the local myths told by her elders, and the Dragon Queen became her island home’s protector.
