There was once when a good friend of mine had to go overseas and needed someone to take care of his hamster. Since no one accepted, he came to me. After I agreed, he entrusted to me the task of taking care of the hamster, feeding it on time, and making sure it did not escape.
Afterwards, he passed me a bag of dead worms. Even though I was terrified of worms, I reassured myself that at least they would not wriggle like live ones and forced myself to feed it to the hamster. I recorded the timings for its mealtimes on a piece of paper and placed it on my study table so that the first thing I did when I got home would be to feed the hamster.
Additionally, I placed a note to remind me to close the cage’s lid when I fed it. Although it tried to bite me and nearly escaped a few times, I was delighted that I had managed to do the job entrusted to me well.
