Letter to the Mayor

From: Emma, Pri 4, Methodist Girls’ School

Dear Mayor,

We have a problem over here at Huey House, a homeless shelter. This new policy about having to leave the homeless shelter before we are ready is making us go out before we are prepared to do anything by ourselves. What if we cannot make enough money to provide for ourselves? How will we survive then? Will we go back to Huey House, just to be kicked out again after just a while? You need to help us. Would you be so kind as to discontinue this policy? If you do, we would be able to prepare properly and learn to cope when moved out. The number of homeless people would truly go down for good. Please consider doing this for the well-being of your people.

Best Regards,
June
