To stay or to go?

I think that Nukilik should definitely stay to help rescue Hobbs and Jill. Just like how Nukilik wants to go back to her homeland, Hobbs and Jill would want to as well. It looks like the animals are on their own. They can only be strong as they are united and as weak as they are divided. They will have to stand and fight together in order to successfully rescue the ferrets and get everyone home.

Nukilik in Inuit means “the one who is strong”. Being a polar bear, she is powerful and strong — just like her name indicates. She and her fellow polar bears are bigger, stronger, and even faster than other bear species. After all, a polar bear is 10 times stronger than a human. So, if humans were to ever attempt to capture the Endangereds, Nukilik can defend and protect them. The mighty have to defend the honour of the weak.

Clearly, the humans are in the wrong here. They were the ones who initially destroyed the habitats of the animals for their own short-term gains. Destroying the natural habitat displaces or kills the organisms that previously inhabited them. This results in biodiversity loss which has a negative and permanent impact on the ecosystems of the world. Protecting natural habitats is in fact the essential first step towards protecting the endangered species. Nukilik with her extraordinary powers and a big giving heart now gets the opportunity to help in this great cause.
