WHICH HUSKY?

From: Alyssa, Pri 5, Tao Nan School

If I were April, I would choose Blaze. I believe that we should not judge others by their looks or backgrounds. Blaze is new. Inexperienced runner. However, good things happen when you least expect them to. Even though having Blaze on the team would increase the possibility of losing the race, having him might also have good effects. For example, eagerness to win, determination to move on, while an experienced husky might suddenly give up in the middle of the race as it had experienced too many runs.

There were a few times during school lessons when there would be school projects to finish as a group. While the popular kids were picked by group leaders, I picked the classmates that were left out, shy kids whose grades were neither high nor ranked in the top 10 in class. Even though the class laughed at our group, I had a good feeling about it. After weeks of hard work, our group got a high score on the project, and I learnt more about my shy classmates, sharing jokes and information.

Therefore, even if having a newcomer or someone unfamiliar may be disruptive, there are good chances you may excel.
