Antain walked cautiously into the forest, wary about what may happen next. All of a sudden, a cunning wolf jumped out of nowhere ready to pounce and wolf Antain down. Antain quickly struggled up a tree, his legs shivering with fright. He fished an arrow out of his haversack and aimed it at the wolf. The arrow quickly shot the wolf dead.
Soon, more wolves gathered, snarling at Antain. Antain lost his balance as his foot slipped. Luckily, he managed to cling on the tree using his rock-climbing skills. He slowly shot each wolf one by one. He laughed and quickly scrambled down the tree.
After a few kilometres, a big brown bear with pointy teeth growled at Antain. Antain panicked at the bear’s huge size and threatening look. He quickly pretended to drop dead like his mother taught him. The bear sniffed at Antain and went back to its cave to rest.
“Phew!” Antain heaved a sigh of relief and wiped his sweat off. It soon started to rain. Antain quickly put on his raincoat and ran.
He ran and ran until he spotted a woman collecting herbs. “It must be the witch!,” he muttered. He fished out the gun that the village leaders had given him and shot the witch dead.
Suddenly, the witch reappeared. Apparently, the witch needed to be shot three times before she would stay dead. The witch used dark magic to fight against Antain. Antain plucked up his courage and aimed his gun at the witch while dodging her magic.
“One shot! One more to go!,” Antain hollered. Antain was not so lucky and the witch’s magic hit him. He fell to the ground bleeding on the leg. Antain pursed his lips, unable to get up. Then, he thought of his village and how they need his help.
Just as the witch was about to hit him with magic again, he stood up with a limp. He aimed his gun and shot the witch a third time.
“Hooray! The witch is dead!,” Antain shouted. As soon as he got back to the village, everyone was shouting Antain’s name happily. Antain treated his wound and was made a village leader. “Best day of my life,” sighed Antain.
